Sticking Points

Many of us feel stuck at some point in our lives. We feel there is something we want or somewhere we want to get to that isn’t possible within our current life situation. It might be a new career, relationship or living environment and we feel frustrated when we think of the perceived gap between who/where we are right now and who/where we want to be. We assume it is this gap that is limiting our happiness. If only we had X, Y or Z, we wouldn’t feel frustrated or stuck anymore.

Often the most frustrating thing of all however is that we never ‘get there’! This ‘point in the future’ always remains just that, a point in the future. We become like a person chasing a bank note in the wind - the future ‘goal’ constantly eluding us.

Perhaps we can be curious and wonder about the real source of our frustration. Is it that we don’t have what we want right now or is the way we outsource our happiness and peace to a point in the future creating its own frustration? Perhaps the answers can be found right now.
